May 2021 saw an increase in property sales in Cyprus. 81% more sales contracts were deposited with land registries in comparison with the previous year. Compared to 2019, there is an increase of up to 36%.

For two months now, there has been an upward trend in property sales in Cyprus. Shoppers are slowly returning to the market after the COVID-19 epidemic.
Since April, sales have skyrocketed - 832 contracts have been deposited with Land Registry Offices. This is 285% more than a year ago.
In the first four months in all areas, with the exception of the island of Paphos, increased rates. Residential property sales rose on the back of a record low interest rate and an incentive program from the state - subsidizing interest rates.
